Platts Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy
Our approach is very much a manual therapy “hands on” approach to treatment, we often combine this with electrotherapy such as ultrasound, and will usually give you some self-help exercises and education so that you can aid your recovery between treatment. As a general rule we find this approach offers you the most rapid recovery in most cases. The combination or blend of treatment is very much unique to every individual person that we see and depends on many factors we have to consider in our approach, one of our biggest factors is we listen to you as our patient.
Injury Diagnosis
As skilled musculoskeletal clinicians we are well placed to offer a clinical diagnosis after assessment. If we feel you need intervention such as a MRI or X-ray we will inform you of this and the clinical reasoning behind this, which will better equip you to discuss with your GP.
Occupational Health
For over 14 years, we have provided occupational physiotherapy services to businesses of all sizes. This service benefits both employees and employers by helping the workforce return to full duties and efficiency quickly. We are eager to assist organisations, whether small or large.
GP Services
For over 14 years, we have offered physiotherapy services to doctors in their surgeries. If you're a doctor or practice manager interested in innovative ways to utilise a physiotherapist's skills for your patients, we’d love to connect. We work with forward-thinking practices and can provide references from established clinics. As Chartered members of the HCPC, we are recognised by major insurance companies.
Sports Injury
We excel in helping athletes recover from injuries. We all are or have been competitive sports people ourselves so we know the frustration injury can bring. While our approach is too detailed to explain fully here, we are passionate about getting you back to your goals. Instead of complete rest, we offer innovative training methods that allow you to maintain fitness while recovering.
Massage
Massage is an ancient technique used in most cultures around the world, at Platts Physiotherapy we mainly focus on the use of remedial and sport massage as we feel this has the greatest benefit to the musculoskeletal system.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a physiotherapy technique that helps manage pain and inflammation by inserting needles into specific points, releasing the body’s natural healing chemicals It aims to restore balance and promote recovery, benefiting physical and mental health acute and chronic conditions. Treatment is personalised based on a detailed assessment, using sterile, single-use needles left in place for 15-20 minutes to enhance mobility and relaxation.
